Who Has Your Back?

Gotcha 6 has your back. Gotcha 6 is a for-profit business founded by U.S. military veterans to provide financial support, social awareness, and community building for our fellow veterans, first responders and their families suffering from traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder and other invisible wounds of war. The mission of Gotcha 6 is to partner with nonprofit organizations all over the nation that specialize in care, rehabilitation and family support.  To improve the quality of life for our nation’s veteran population through their support programs and community outreach efforts.  With every purchase from Gotcha 6, a portion will be donated to these nonprofits that we have partnered with across the nation.  There is a great need and our goal is to create enough social awareness and financial ability to give every veteran and first responder the opportunity to receive the care they truly deserve.

Gotcha 6 is a for-profit organization founded by U.S. military veterans to provide financial support, social awareness and community building for our fellow veterans, first responders and their families suffering from traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder and other invisible wounds of war.  Our goal is to give confidence to these warriors and families while empowering them to move forward in life.

At Gotcha 6, we have discovered that many of our friends and fellow service members were struggling with traumatic brain injury (TBI) or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They felt alone and isolated by their injuries or afraid to seek help because they didn’t know where to go or who could understand what they were going through. This inspired them to create Gotcha 6. Gotcha 6 is an avenue for veterans suffering from invisible wounds of war–like TBI, PTSD and other mental health issues–to find camaraderie among those who have been there before them; a place where they could talk freely about their struggles without judgment or stigma attached; an environment where everyone understands what it means “to be there with you.”  You are not alone, there is a great army of people here and we Gotcha 6!

Share your story and help someone who can’t be there for themselves.

If you’re reading this, it’s likely that someone has shared their story with you. Maybe it was a friend or family member who opened up about an illness or loss. Maybe it was a colleague who confided in you about their struggles at work.Regardless of how they shared their journey with you, their willingness to do so helped shape your understanding of what they were going through–and gave them the support they needed from someone who cared deeply enough to listen. When we share our stories and experiences with others, we open the possibility to heal in ways that would otherwise be impossible on our own. In turn, those people we open to become part of our own healing process. By giving ourselves permission to speak openly about our experiences (whether good or bad), we allow others around us access into our world without having had any hand in shaping its structure beforehand.

If you’re a veteran or first responder in need of support, visit Gotcha 6 on Facebook or Gotcha_6 on Instagram to connect with other veterans who have gone through similar experiences. We would be honored for you to share your story if you feel it is the right time for you. The courage you take today may help someone else take that next courageous step tomorrow!
